There are many different stages in Tantric cultivation, and it is important that you do things in the right order:
Stage 1: The Four Preliminary practices
These practices help to build your merit and establish a foundation. It is vital that you have received the Refuge Empowerment before you begin.
In old times the tradition was to do each practice 100,000 times. However for many people today it is difficult to find the time to do this. Therefore, you can begin by doing 10,000 repetitions of each Use a notebook to keep a record of your progress.
If you have more time, you can do the Vajrasattva practice which combines all of the Four Preliminary Practices:
Stage 2: Root Guru Practice
The Padmakumara practice is an essential practice for all True Buddha School students. Although it is not a beginner's practice, out of compassion Grandmaster Lu has still made it available to his students.
Stage 3: Personal Deity Yogas
The Personal Deity practices below each require an additional empowerment:
Stage 4: Internal Fire and Vajra King Training
When you have gained a response in the Personal Deity Yogas, the next stage is the Internal Fire and Vajra King Training. |
